
Easy Jerk Salmon Steaks with Mango Salsa

Jerk Seasoning:
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
2 tbs canola oil
4 tsp chopped fresh thyme
1 tbs soy sauce
2 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp lime zest
1 tsp pepper
½ tsp salt
Mango Salsa:
1 mango, peeled and diced
1 tomato, diced
¼ cup finely chopped white onion
2 tbsp lime juice
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp ground ginger
Salmon Steaks:
4 salmon steaks or fillets
lime wedges for serving

Mango Salsa:

Salmon Steaks:
4 salmon steaks or fillets

Directions
1Mix Jerk Seasoning ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.
2In another bowl, stir together all Mango Salsa ingredients. Set aside.
3Pat salmon steaks dry with paper towel. Coat in Jerk Seasoning. Barbecue salmon on grill preheated to medium-high heat, 5 min. per side or until just cooked through. Serve with Mango Salsa and lime wedges.
Tips
1
Replace jalapeno with a scotch bonnet pepper for more heat. Protect fingers with food gloves to avoid getting spicy juices in eyes.

Substitute Easy Jerk Seasoning with ready-made jerk seasoning or paste.
