Cooking Mode

  • ⅓ cup canola oil, divided (only 2 tbsp/30 mL oil is required for steam method)

  • 4 oz shiitake mushrooms, stems removed, thinly sliced

  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced, divided

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ lb lean ground pork

  • 4 tsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 1 pkg square wonton wrappers

  • ½ cup hoisin sauce for dipping

Tips

To freeze, lay dumplings in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 2 hr. until hard, then transfer to a re-sealable plastic bag. Dumplings can be frozen up to 1 month. To cook from frozen, pan-fry or steam about 15 min.
