Maple Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Compliments 100% Pure Pumpkin Puree 75 mL
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup 45 mL
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice, plus more for garnish 2 mL
  • 2 cups milk, divided 500 mL
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 5 mL
  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee 250 mL

Directions

  • Step 1

    Combine pumpkin puree with maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice in small saucepan set over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to simmer. Stir in 1 cup (250 mL) milk and vanilla. Cook, stirring frequently, until steaming. Keep warm.

  • Step 2

    Heat remaining 1 cup (250 mL) milk in clean saucepan or in microwave until hot. Whisk with frother or immersion blender until frothy. Divide hot espresso or coffee into serving cups. Add pumpkin mixture.

  • Step 3

    Top with frothed milk. Sprinkle with a pinch of pumpkin pie spice to serve.

Tip

Spike with brandy, rum or whisky for an adult twist.
