white vinegar

lightly packed brown sugar
60 mL

molasses

Worcestershire sauce
15 mL
1 tsp
salt
5 mL

Directions

Step 1
Combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, salt and 1 cup (250 mL) water in medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer. Cook, stirring often, 15 to 20 min., until sauce thickens and coats back of spoon.

Tip

Substitute red wine vinegar for the white vinegar.
