Savoury Pork Chops with Grilled Apples

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops, about 6 oz (175 g) each, patted dry 0
  • 1/4 cup Roasted Garlic & Pepper Rub Marinade 60 mL
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced 1/4 -inch (5 mm) thick 0
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 15 mL
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup 30 mL

Directions

  • Step 1

    Lightly oil grill and preheat barbecue to medium-high.

  • Step 2

    Coat both sides of chops with marinade. Grill until firm and no longer pink in centre, 3 to 5 min. per side or until internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) is reached. Meanwhile, brush apple slices with oil and grill 2 min. per side. Brush with maple syrup and continue to grill until apples are tender and caramelized. Serve chops over grilled apples.
