Quick Loaded Naans

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Compliments Olive Oil 5 mL
  • 1 cup sliced Compliments Organic Bella Mushrooms 250 mL
  • 2 large shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp salt and pepper 1 mL
  • 1 pkg Sensations by Compliments Naan Bread (340 g/4pcs)
  • 1/2 cup Compliments Spirited Mickie Sweet & Tangy Bourbon BBQ Sauce 125 mL
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Sensations by Compliments Applewood Smoked Cheddar, Aged 2 Years 375 mL
  • 1 cup Compliments Baby Arugula 250 mL

Directions

  • Step 1

    Add olive oil to small skillet on medium heat. Add mushrooms, shallots, salt and pepper; cook 3 to 5 min. until shallots are softened.

  • Step 2

    Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400˚F (200˚C). Arrange naan breads on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Spread barbecue sauce on each naan. Top with cheese and mushroom mixture.

  • Step 3

    Bake 4 to 5 min., or until cheese is melted and bubbling. Sprinkle with arugula before serving.

Tip

Instead of Cheddar, try mozzarella or Havarti.

Substitute mushrooms with shredded rotisserie chicken or cooked and crumbled bacon.

Add Compliments Jalapeno Peppers (Sliced) for a spicy kick.
