Ingredients

Gourmet Hamburger Cheese Buns

large eggs
¾ cup
grated Gruyère cheese or Compliments White Cheddar Cheese
175 mL
⅔ cup
milk
150 mL
1 tbsp
Compliments Thyme leaves or finely chopped parsley
15 mL
¼ tsp
salt
1 mL
¼ cup
Panache Caramelized Onion & Balsamic Topper and Spread
60 mL

Directions

Step 1

Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 180°C (350°F). Spray a 12-cup muffin pan with oil.

Step 2

Cut buns in half horizontally. Use a rolling pin to flatten each half until it resembles a tortilla. Press flattened buns, cheese-side-down, into cups. Bake until cups are just toasted, 3 to 5 mins.

Step 3

Meanwhile, whisk eggs with cheese, milk, thyme and salt. Divide egg mixture between cups. Dollop 1 tsp (5 mL) caramelized onion into each cup, stirring in slightly.

Step 4

Bake until quiches are golden and puffy, about 20 mins. Serve with more caramelized onion on the side, if desired.
