Directions
To make Butter Batter, in freezer-proof container, mix butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg until blended. Mix in ice cream. Cover and freeze for at least 45 min. before using. (Tip: Recipe makes enough for 12 to 14 drinks, and can be frozen for up to 2 weeks.)
To make hot buttered cider, add apple cider to small saucepan over low heat; heat just until hot to prevent scorching. (Tip: Heat enough for several drinks at once; store in thermos to make drinks to order.)
Pour the hot cider into a mug or other heatproof cup. Scoop about 2 tbsp (30 mL) Butter Batter into the drink and quickly stir.
Garnish with the star anise and cinnamon stick.
