Gruyère, Serrano & Olive Skewers

Ingredients

  • 3 oz cellar-aged Gruyère cheese, cut into sixteen equal pieces 90 g
  • 8 slices Sensations by Compliments Sliced Serrano Ham, each cut in half
  • 16 pitted green olives
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 30 mL
  • 1 tbsp sherry vinegar 15 mL
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme 15 mL
  • 2 tsp honey 10 mL
  • pinch salt
  • 16 cocktail skewers

Directions

  • Step 1

    Onto each skewer, thread 1 piece of cheese, half slice of ham (it can be folded) and an olive. Make 16 skewers. Arrange on serving platter. Whisk together oil, sherry vinegar, thyme, honey and salt. Drizzle dressing over skewers.

Tip

Sprinkle skewers with sliced almonds.

Substitute sherry vinegar with balsamic, white wine or red wine vinegar.
