Keep bananas unpeeled. Cut into the peel lengthwise, along the inside curve of the banana, and into the flesh. Carefully open cut to form a pocket. Repeat process for all bananas. Stuff each banana with chocolate chips. Seal each banana in foil.
Grill on barbecue preheated to medium-high 5 to 8 min., until bananas are warm and chocolate is melted. Using oven mitts, transfer to baking sheet.
Place each banana (still in foil) in serving dish. Open foil carefully to avoid steam. Top with scoop of ice cream. Garnish with peanuts, sprinkles and maraschino cherry.
When camping, garnish with canned whipped cream instead of ice cream.
