Ingredients

onion, peeled and sliced thinly

head garlic, peeled and minced
1 cup
water

lemon juice (about 2 lemons)

soy sauce
60 mL

canola oil

pepper

Sterling Silver strip steaks, 1 to 1½ inch (2½ to 3¾ cm) thick

Directions

Step 1

Combine onion with garlic, water, lemon juice, soy sauce, oil and pepper in a large re-sealable zip-top bag. Season with salt, if desired. Add steaks into marinade. Seal, then refrigerate steaks at least 2 hr. (or up to 4 hr).

Step 2

Preheat your grill at medium-high heat. Clean and oil the grates.

Step 3

Grill steaks until cooked to 63°C (145°F) on an instant-read thermometer for medium-rare, 2 to 3 mins. per side, or to desired doneness.

Step 4

Transfer steaks to a cutting board and let rest for 5 mins. before slicing and serving.
