Carrot & Caraway Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds 15 mL
  • 4 large carrots, shredded 0
  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar 30 mL
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 15 mL
  • 1 tsp honey 5 mL
  • 1/2 tsp salt 2 mL

Directions

  • Step 1

    Toast caraway seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat, stir just until fragrant, about 2 min.

  • Step 2

    In a bowl, mix together carrots, toasted caraway seeds, vinegar, olive oil, honey and salt.

Tip

Aromatic caraway seeds lend a sweet, nutty flavour to vegetables.
