Pumpkin is a variety of winter squash that is equally at home in desserts as it is in savoury soups and stews. Its sweet, nutty flavour makes it a versatile member of the winter squash family.

From jack-o-lanterns to pie pumpkins, we can’t resist these beautiful orange squash that represent the arrival of fall. Steamed and then puréed, they’re transformed into iconic pumpkin pies. Cubed and simmered they make a wonderful addition to a spicy curry.
