Preheat oven to 300˚F (150˚C). Stir together salt, lime zest and hot pepper flakes. Spread evenly on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake 10 to 15 min. or until zest is dry. Cool completely.
Transfer to 1-cup (250-mL) Mason jar and seal with lid. Decorate with festive ribbon or string and tag. Recipe doubles easily.
Use chili lime salt to season tortilla chips, tacos, fish, chicken, steak, soups and salads. It can also be used to rim a margarita glass or to garnish homemade caramel.
