From creepy costumes to spooky music, there are so many ways to celebrate October 31st. We help you get into the Halloween spirit with five delicious, kid-friendly snacks inspired by classic Halloween movies.

Beetlejuice: Striped Pudding Parfait with “Dirt” Topping

Turn on the juice and see what shakes loose with a creamy parfait made with alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate pudding — reminiscent of Beetlejuice’s striped wedding tux. Assemble each dessert in a mason jar to easily store in the fridge. Pull the jars out when it’s show time and top with chocolate cookie crumbs and gummy worms!

Hotel Transylvania: Bat Sugar Cookies

This animated movie from 2012 was a massive hit with kids, and this high-flying recipe will be too! The classic sugar cookie dough is crisp and buttery, but the real fun comes from the many forms these biscuits can take. Use cookie cutters shaped like bats, ghosts, mummies and skeletons, and top off the final product with a pair of silver dragée “eyes.” The kids will love these monstrous creations.

Ghostbusters: Green Marshmallow Slime Popcorn

Honour Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man with this snack that uses five simple ingredients and is ready in just 30 minutes. Melt butter and marshmallows in a pan and mix in green food colouring, then combine the gooey mixture with plain popped popcorn and stir until combined. Shape the baked popcorn mixture into balls and insert a lollipop stick into each.

The Nightmare Before Christmas: Bag of Bones Treat Mix
This musical masterpiece induces plenty of Halloween nostalgia, and what better way to channel Jack Skellington than with this sweet-and-salty trail mix. Pretzels, dried fruit, licorice and wheat squares get stirred together to look like bones and innards. It takes only 10 minutes to make this chewy-crunchy snack, giving you lots of time to sit back, relax and enjoy the night.

Hocus Pocus: Churros with Green Witches Brew Dip

Witches, potions, and spells inspire this zesty, creamy dip made from a “brew” of avocado, sour cream, icing sugar and lemon juice. The dip pairs well with our take on churros — light and crispy stick-shaped donuts — creating a sinfully delicious snack.
